Lana Lamkin Executive Director, The Closet Ministry, Inc. Lana is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and the founder of The Closet Ministry, Inc. She and her husband, John, are committed to carrying out God’s will for this ministry. Lana is the owner of Divine Promotional Products. Prior to starting her own business, she spent 16 years in the travel industry. Her roles included business travel consultant, operations, management, quality control, implementations and assisting IT. She was raised in Vandalia, Illinois and moved to North Carolina in 1989. She enjoys spending time with her family, riding her Harley with John, and is a “techie” at heart. She has two daughters, Mackenzie and Lauren. She is blessed to be step-mom to Ali and her husband, Dillon, Jessica and her husband, Justin, and a grandmother to Inara. The Closet Ministry has become her passion and she is excited to be part of this mission. |

John Lamkin Board Chairman John grew up in Belmont, NC and has lived most of his life in the Charlotte, NC area. As the Director of Training for Hendrick Automotive Group, the second largest privately held automotive group in the United States, he is responsible for the development and delivery of curriculum for over 7000 employees. John has an extensive background in sales, management, coaching & leadership and project management. He is married to Lana and has two daughters (Ali and Jessica) along with two step-daughters (Mackenzie and Lauren). John is an avid reader, spent a decade as a professional musician, is in his hometown sports hall of fame and enjoys riding his Harley. Having an opportunity to be involved with The Closet from its inception has allowed John to serve others while sharing some of the many blessings God has given him. |

Judy Lawrence Financial Director Judy was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, a true southern woman. She has lived in a few different states since marrying her husband, John Lawrence…Georgia, Wisconsin, and last but certainly not least, Waxhaw, North Carolina. Here, John and Judy, as well as their two children, Jaclyn and John Michael, have truly grown as servants of God. They serve, recognizing first hand that being a Christian is about the relationship, not the religion. Judy has worked as a financial accountant throughout the years, in every setting from large manufacturing corporations to small, individually owned businesses. Her heart, however, lies in working with non-profits. Currently she is working on her own as a contract accountant, and enjoys using her financial and business experience serving The Closet Ministry. |

Catherine Horton Catherine is a proud mother of Lilly, 6 and Brooks, 5 and wife of 13 years to Shane. She and Shane own and operate Gill Industries, Inc., which manufactures and sells concrete repair products. Gill Industries has been in business for over 60 years and distributes products across the United States and internationally. She was born at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA and was raised in West Virginia. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is still an avid Mountaineer football fan. She and her family are active members of Second Baptist Church located in Lancaster, SC where she currently lives. Her most favorite thing to do is spending time with family and friends on their boat in Murrells Inlet, SC. She also enjoys four wheeling, gardening, and visiting the mountains. Catherine has been truly blessed with her work in The Closet Ministry and hopes to pass along this passion of helping others to her children and those around her. |

Dave Peterson Dave lives in Waxhaw, North Carolina. He is first and foremost a sold out Christ Follower (many would call him a Jesus Freak – a name tag Dave would wear with pride). The scripture passage that best applies to Dave is 1 Timothy 1:15: “It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all”. Dave has a passion to teach the Gospel, especially to children in a fun and interesting way that also appeals to reason. Dave is honored to be a part of The Closet and looks forward to utilizing his skills in sales, finance and teaching to expand the impact of The Closet to many more communities where there is great need: materially and spiritually. Dave is proud to have been married to Greta for over 21 years and is the father of Georgia (19) and Ben (16). He is President of CP Sales, Inc. and has his B.A. in Advertising and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing. |

Lynn Mabe Lynn is a professional with experience in accounting and financial management. She has worked for Fortune 100 companies in defining their accounting practices, procedures and policies. Along with her husband, they currently own and operate a Financial Management company specializing in Real Estate, Construction and Small Business loans. Lynn runs a successful Photo Storybook business in which she helps individuals and families use traditional and new technologies to record and save their photo memories. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys trips to the beach, hiking, travel and scrapbooking. |
