WELCOME TO THE CLOSET MINISTRY

 
The Closet Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to sharing the love of Jesus by providing quality used and new clothing, shoes and linens to families facing financial stress. The Closet was established in 2009 with the simple vision to collect clothing and give it to families in need in our community. We began our operation in a small room of one family’s home. After just a few months, we had collected such an abundance of clothing we moved to the attic of Southbrook Church’s Monroe Campus. We quickly outgrew that space and have moved several times to accommodate the donations received.

Our first event was held in June of 2009 at Southbrook Church in Monroe, North Carolina. That day, The Closet gave nearly 5,000 pieces of clothes to more than 230 families.

Our ministry is able to give away free clothing because of the support we receive from our communities. All the items offered to our shoppers once belonged to someone else and have been donated to The Closet.

The Closet can also help in emergencies. CONTACT US if you or someone you know is in critical need of clothing. We'll do our best to fill your needs.
